Surgical Services RN

The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for their Surgical Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a healthcare organization committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

About the Role:

As a Surgical Services RN, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients throughout the peri-operative process, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to ensure optimal outcomes for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care during all phases of the surgical process, including circulating, scrubbing, surgical assistance, post-anesthesia care, and sterile processing.
  

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
  

• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations.
  

• Demonstrate leadership, strong communication skills, and a commitment to positive patient outcomes.
  

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold the values of respect, honesty, integrity, compassion, and innovation.
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  

• Current Tennessee RN license required.
  

• One year of Med/Surg experience preferred.
  

• OR experience and AORN membership preferred.
  

• Ability to read and write effectively in English.
  

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/carry over 30 lbs., and perform physically demanding activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling.
  

• Ability to adapt to irregular hours and respond to emergent situations.
