$40.00 - $45.45 + applicable differentials 

Job Summary
The Surgical Support Technician functions as a member of the Perioperative team transporting patients (with equipment) inside/outside of the department, providing direct/indirect patient care in the OR, PACU, ENDO, and SSU. Maintains aseptic environment within the OR and PACU. The Surgical Support Technician is also responsible for the care and maintenance of instruments and supplies for Perioperative procedures. This position is intended to work the following days of the week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (0900-1700) and every weekend, Saturday and Sunday (1500-2300)

In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, the Surgical Support Technician may also be assigned other duties as required. 

Education Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, required. 

Work Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of previous direct patient care required. 
• CNA licensure preferred. 
• Recent operating room experience preferred. 
• Basic knowledge of sterility and aseptic technique preferred.  

License & Certifications

• Current BLS certification, required. 

Skills & Abilities

• Must be flexible with schedule (shifts start times and weekend shifts.)
• Basic knowledge of aseptic technique, preferred.
