Job Summary:

The surgical tech assists the surgeon in performing various surgical procedures on patients presenting to the operating room (OR). The Surgical Tech must work effectively with the physicians, clients, and peers possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy. Must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of one-year surgical technician training and/or graduate of an accredited program

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

• Must have completed a Surgical Technician program and be either Certified or eligible for certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 60 days of hire.
