Surgical Technologist

The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join their dedicated Surgical Services team. About the Role:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel. This role is integral to the operating room team, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses to ensure safe and successful surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical operations with attention to precision and patient safety.
  

• Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
  

• Deliver care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and established standards of practice.
  

• Demonstrate effective communication, empathy, and professionalism with patients, families, and colleagues.
  

• Adhere to infection control, patient rights, and HIPAA regulations.
  

• Promote positive customer relations and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  

Qualifications:

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training; or military training in surgical technology; or certification through LCC-ST.
  

• National certification preferred.
  

• Ability to read and write effectively in English.
  

• One year of surgical technologist experience preferred.
  

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/carry over 30 lbs. and perform physically demanding activities, including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
  

• Ability to adapt to irregular hours and respond to emergent situations.
