Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures maintaining sterile technique
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
• Monitor and maintain sterile field
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technology Program
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (or military service equivalent)
• AHA-BLS-HCP certification
• Eligible for registration with VA Department of Health Professions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures
