Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Operating Room

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you'll work alongside skilled surgeons and nurses in a state-of-the-art operating room environment, ensuring the highest standards of surgical care and patient safety.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain sterile field integrity and ensure compliance with aseptic technique
• Perform precise surgical instrument handling and passing during procedures
• Execute accurate surgical counts for instruments, sponges, and needles
• Prepare and manage surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of surgical procedures and technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Registration with VA Department of Health Professions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move equipment
