Summary:

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
*** 11pm to 7:30 am - Sunday - Thursday schedule and off Friday and Saturday nights ***

Responsibilities:

Must maintain requirements dictated in clinical ladder.

Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.

Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist (Required)BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)

Additional Job Information:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience: One (1) year of experience required.

Other Information: Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) is preferred.
