Surplus Lines Compliance and Tax Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Property and Casualty (P&C) and Surplus Lines professional with specialized knowledge of surplus lines insurance. As an insurance expert, you will be responsible for providing knowledgeable advice, especially in surplus lines operations, regulations, and filings.

What you'll do

Surplus Lines Insurance Expertise:

1.Use your deep knowledge of surplus lines insurance to guide the policies and procedures of non-admitted insurance units.

Educate staff on surplus line coverage options and help navigate complex regulatory requirements.

2. Policy Placement and Negotiation:

Assist with quoting, binding, and issuing policies.

3. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

Ensure compliance with state insurance laws, focusing on surplus lines transactions.

Keep up to date on regulatory changes and maintain accurate records for reporting.

4. Claims Management Support:

Support clients through the claims process, help with claim filing, and work with carriers to resolve claims quickly.

5. Customer Service and Retention:

Provide outstanding customer service to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships.

Regularly review policies to find opportunities for coverage improvements.

Qualifications

Valid Property and Casualty (P&C) and Surplus Lines insurance licenses.

Proven experience as an insurance agent, emphasizing surplus lines coverage and non-admitted markets.

Strong knowledge of surplus lines rules, compliance, and filing procedures.

Solid understanding of various P&C insurance products and underwriting basics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to clearly explain complex insurance topics.

Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
