Job Description - Surveillance Supervisor in Training


Essential Job Functions

 

Position: Surveillance Supervisor  in Training      

Department: Surveillance  

Primary Responsibilities: (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)

·         Directs special observations as requested by Surveillance Management or Casino Management.

·         Supervise, schedule, and evaluate surveillance operators.

·         Communicates clearly and directly with Surveillance Operators concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.

·         Oversees the implementation of departmental policies and goals.

·         Responsible for continuing training in surveillance technology.

·         Monitors that the CCTV/CCVS system is safe and secure and performs troubleshooting when necessary.

·         Responsible to know all policies and procedures of all departments on the gaming floor.

·         Reports any violations of procedures to the appropriate personnel.

Secondary Responsibilities:

·         Creates and maintains working relationship with the West Virginia Lottery, security, and casino management.

·         Ensures the proper logs are being maintained on their shift.

·         Ensures that the secure gaming areas are being monitored by operators.

·         Creates reports on a timely basis

·         Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free work environment.

·         Complete various administrative and technical tasks as assigned by the Director of Surveillance.

Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)

·         Hour and days off will vary depending on business requirements including nights, weekends, and holidays.

 

In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria

in addition to the 5 Star Mobil service standards for All Employees.

Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)

·         Minimum 2 years in casino surveillance.

·         Must be card count certified or be able to obtain card count certification within three months

Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)

·         High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)

·         Excellent communications skills – phone, in person

Technical Requirements:

·          Working Knowledge of digital surveillance systems
