CBG Surveying is seeking a Survey Crew Chief with Builder experience in the Garland, TX area! The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for leading a crew of 2 - 3 people to collect data for boundary and topographic surveys, perform form surveys, final surveys, and building layout. The Survey Crew Chief will report to the Survey Field Manager. The Survey Instrument team is integral to the successful completion of the client Survey’s. We need candidates who will accurately collect field data using survey equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Determine the most efficient plan of action for data acquisition for field surveys.

· Professional interaction with client representatives and land owners.

· Maintain vehicle and field equipment.

· Daily communication with the Field Department Manager regarding project schedule and work progress.

Job Requirements:

· 2 plus years of progressing field surveying/crew chief experience in Land Title Surveying, including demonstrated experience in a supervisory role.

· Must be able to perform new construction surveying.

· Required-Form board with elevation and Final with grades.

· Must be able to translate and rotate (using Carlson software a plus).

· Must be proficient with using total stations and data collection. Knowledge of robotic instruments a plus.

· Strong communication skills (listening, writing and verbal) computer and technical skills a plus.

· Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude

· Valid driver's license.

· High School Diploma or GED.
