As a member of our branch operations team, you'll complete Solar Surveys to prepare customers and our design team for residential solar installations. This position includes full training, and the use of a company vehicle.
Job Duties:
- Manage a volume of Solar Surveys in an assigned geography.
- Travel to project sites to gather basic structural and electrical information by conducting a physical site audit using job-specific tools such as a tablet (or phone) with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment.
- Create a detailed rooftop map layout for solar installation and identify issues that can affect the installation.
- Be professional, punctual and provide quality customer service.
- Upload site audit documents to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents.
- Ensure a smooth handoff between departments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Comfortable working at heights (roofs, attics) and inspecting electrical panels.
- Can use ladders, basic measuring devices, and job-related tech (iPad, etc)
- Accountable person who takes initiative and can work with minimal or no supervision.
- Reliability. (arrive on time and do your best work)
- Ability to read and understand contract documents and plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Interest in sustainable energy is a plus!
Physical Demands and Abilities:

- Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods of time
- Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
- Understand the speech of another person
- Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
- Lift 50+ pounds
