Surveyor Civil - PIC Water & Mechanical - Exciting Challenge

Primoris Water & Mechanical is looking for a surveyor to join our team for various projects in and around Hollywood and Boca Raton, Florida. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive field surveys and operate surveying instruments and equipment with precision.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and detailed as-built drawings as well as final construction drawings using Civil 3D software.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and conduct land surveys for project development.
• Analyze and compile data, perform calculations, and ensure accuracy of geometric measurements.
• Manage and oversee the surveying team to ensure compliance with legal and design requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and clients to provide timely updates on surveying tasks.
• Maintain records of all survey data, reports, and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to use surveying equipment such as GPS, total station, data collectors, etc.
• Knowledge of Surveying techniques, procedures, and calculations;
• Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified by Project Manager or General Superintendent;
• Provide checking of as-built conditions that require use of surveying techniques;
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities;
• Assist with conducting quantity calculations;
• Ability to interpret construction plans and perform basic calculations supporting work;
• Ability to work in a team environment and to communicate clearly;
• Ability to perform work tasks independently and safely;
• Experience in setting up heavy equipment GPS systems a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Surveying, or related field.
• Professional certification in surveying (P.S. or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil surveying.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of topographic, boundary, and construction surveying.
• Knowledge of local and federal surveying laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.

Preferred Skills:

• 3 or more years as a Construction Survey Technician.
• Field construction experience.
• MSHA Experience Preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license prior to employment.
