About the Role

As the Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for the maintenance and execution of the sushi program. You will collaborate closely with the culinary and management teams to ensure consistent excellence in quality, execution, and presentation. The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep passion for sushi making and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including Nigiri, Sashimi, and various rolls.


• Ensure all prepared dishes meet our high standards of quality and visual presentation.


• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and timely workflow.


• Efficiently manage multiple dishes simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.


• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards of the sushi station.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sushi chef or cook.


• Exceptional knife skills and mastery of all sushi preparation techniques (maki, nigiri, and sashimi).


• Deep understanding of Japanese ingredients, seasonality, and culinary traditions, alongside classic cooking methods.


• Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume environment.


• Commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.


• Up-to-date ServSafe certification (or equivalent as required by law).
