Sustainability and Refuse Coordinator

*This is a full time seasonal position- Thursday-Monday

Keep loading dock neat and organized. Maintain recyclables on loading dock for both hotel and day lodge loading docks. Sort recyclable materials and prepare for pick up.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Keep loading docks and public & private areas neat and organized.
• Bale cardboard daily. 
• Crush glass daily. 
• Keep mixed recycling sorted correctly and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Load town truck and deliver recycled items to proper locations on weekly basis. Return empty bins to proper location.
• Coordinate and verify volume of trash being taken with trash hauler. 
• Train Timberline staff, on and off hill, regarding proper recycling techniques. 
• Act as a liaison between Timberline staff and hauler.
• Ensure efficient use of dumpsters to reduce overall haul rates.
• Ensure recyclable materials from all areas of business are taken to correct location and placed in appropriate containers.
• Present a professional, quality image at all times.
• Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
• Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. 
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• Must have valid driver’s license and Timberline approved driving record.
• Must have complete knowledge of baler and glass crusher operations. 
• Must be able to work with all Timberline departments and trash haulers.
• Must be able to operate town truck in all weather conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
• Must be able to work in tight spaces.
• Must be able to work on feet for long periods of time.
• Must be able to move in a timely fashion to meet the pace and demands of the  position.
• Able to work with basic cleaning chemicals.
