Sustainment Logistics Specialist

Position Summary:
As a Sustainment Logistics Specialist in Crane, IN, you will provide support for Supply Support Services across acquisition Product Life Cycles. You will provide support for the development and implementation of Supply Support strategies that satisfy the operational availability requirements that include Supply Support Plan, Sparing Levels, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management Planning, Interim Support, and Automatic Identification Technology.

You will participate and complete follow up tasking resulting from provisioning meetings to ensure the adequacy of existing provisioning and allowance documentation and ensures these reflect the product baseline and maintenance plan. You will develop provisioning technical documentation and allowance recommendations for new construction or engineering changes to the product baseline.

Clearance Required:
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Implement effective and affordable weapons, materiel, or information systems support of fielded and/or out of production systems, including obsolescence, modernization/modification, sustaining engineering, workload allocation, public-private partnerships, supply chain management (SCM), and/or system retirement
  • May lead and direct the work of more junior contractor employees
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a logistics, business, management, or technical field
  • Sr. Sustainment Specialist: 7+ years in a related position

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Level I and Level II Training (within three months of start date)

Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
