SVP of Accounting & Finance (On-site Scottsdale)

The Senior Vice President of Accounting & Finance, is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial accounting and reporting. This position ensures compliance with financial regulations, manages a high-performing accounting team, and supports the company’s strategic objectives through financial oversight and insights. The SVP of Accounting and Finance, will collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to establish and maintain financial integrity while driving continuous improvement in financial operations. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other applicable standards 
• Develop and manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. 
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Partner with the CEO to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Provide actionable insights based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as needed
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations, audits, and other financial compliance requirements
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce financial risks
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
• Evaluate and enhance accounting systems, processes, and tools to support scaling operations
• Drive automation and technology adoption to streamline financial reporting and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience 
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker with a high level of analytical and problem-solving ability
• Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting tools 

Physical Requirements 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
