Position Summary

Lojac, LLC is seeking a dependable and hardworking Hydrovac Swamper/Helper to assist Hydrovac Operators with daily excavation operations. This position provides support on job sites by preparing equipment, handling hoses and tools, maintaining a safe work area, and assisting with non-destructive excavation activities. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to learn, and enjoys working outdoors in a team environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Hydrovac Operator with daily excavation and utility locating operations.


• Handle vacuum and water hoses during excavation.


• Prepare and clean job sites before, during, and after work.


• Load, unload, and organize tools and equipment.


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections with the operator.


• Maintain cleanliness of the hydrovac truck and equipment.


• Direct traffic and pedestrians when necessary to ensure a safe work zone.


• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements.


• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.


• Perform general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Valid driver's license preferred.


• Previous construction, utility, or general labor experience is a plus but not required.


• Willingness to learn hydrovac operations and advance within the company.


• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.


• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.


• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.


• Ability to work around heavy equipment and construction environments.
