Swing Shift Supervisor

Powder Coating Systems is currently looking for a Swing Shift Supervisor. This position is responsible for overseeing Production during our Swing Shift which runs from 1:00pm to 9:30 PM Monday through Friday. It is a full-time position. 

The pay range for this position is currently $22-25 per hour based on experience.

We offer Paid Time Off that starts accruing on the first day of employment and can be used after our 90-day probationary period. We also offer six paid holiday a year after the initial our 90-day probationary period as well as Dental, Life Insurance and Accidental Life coverage with the same probationary period. 

This position is a management position, but employees in this position still work on the floor with their team to move parts through the process. This involves: 

-Learning and understanding our tablets to move parts through the system. 

-Teaching the team how to hang and prep parts prior to coating. 

-Teaching the team how to inspect and pack parts after coating. 

-Keeping team members on task to achieve our production goals. 

This position is highly physical. There will be standing, bending, lifting up to fifty pounds unassisted, operating a forklift, and other things we can show you during the interview process. 

Part of the interview process includes one or two interviews depending on the situation. Applicants will be called during our Office hours to set up an interview. The first part will be the completion of a paper application to answer questions not covered by a conventional resume. The interview will also include a tour of the yard and the shop. Successful applicants must be able to provide documentation on their first day to satisfy the I-9 requirements. 

We will be actively interviewing candidates until this position is filled. 

Requirements

 The following are mandatory requirements for this position: 

-3-5 years of Supervision Experience, preferably in the warehouse, production or manufacturing fields. 

-Reliable transportation to commute to Tacoma daily. 

-An excellent attendance record. 

-The ability to operate a forklift. 

-The ability to read and understand English.

The following are not mandatory, but helpful: 

-The ability to read an Excel spreadsheet. 

-Familiarity in working with a tablet. 

-Prior experience in either Powder Coating or Painting. 

-Problem solving ability. 

-Bilingual in Spanish and English if possible.
