Swiss CNC Programmer

A well-established and rapidly growing precision manufacturing company in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machinist/Programmer to join their team. Backed by over 35 years of excellence and operating under dynamic new leadership, this organization is expanding its production capabilities. This position offers a pathway to leadership, with the potential to advance into a Production Lead role and reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate multi-axis Citizen Swiss Lathes (models L12, L20, M32) and Miyano machines
  

• Perform full machine changeovers and first article setups for aerospace turned components
  

• Write and modify CNC programs at the machine for new and existing parts
  

• Read and interpret blueprints, routing instructions, and quality plans to ensure part accuracy
  

• Utilize benchtop lathes and general shop tools such as saws, belt sanders, grinders, and buffing wheels
  

• Conduct precise inspections using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and gauges
  

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss Lathes
  

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience programming Swiss CNC machines (new parts)
  

• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
  

• Proficient with precision measurement tools and quality inspection procedures
  

• Experience with Mitsubishi controls and G & M code
