Swiss Lathe/Turning Operator- Full-time, Second Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Swiss Lathe Operator for our second shift production team. Hours are Monday-Friday 3 PM to 11:30 PM.  This role requires hands-on experience operating Star and/or Tsugami Swiss-style lathes, along with general lathe operation skills. The operator will work closely with the Lather Department Lead to maintain high standards in precision turning and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Star and/or Tsugami Swiss lathes during second shift hours


• Operate additional CNC and manual lathes as needed


• Perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments to optimize machine performance


• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in all machined parts


• Complete additional tasks as directed by the Shop Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience operating Swiss-style lathes


• Proficiency in Swiss lathe tooling and operation


• Ability to identify and resolve machining and tooling issues


• Familiarity with production environments and safety protocols


• Self-motivated, reliable, and attentive to detail
