Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our Systems Engineering (SE) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, virtualization (VMware), cloud environments, and tools related to systems engineering (DNS, AD, scripting, etc.)
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine server systems administration tasks (server creation, deletion, modification) in both cloud (mostly Azure) and on-prem environments.
• Participate in related systems engineering activities, re: Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy administration.
• Investigate and resolve problem, incident, and request tickets assigned to the team.
• Develop and maintain documentation, policies, procedures, Knowledge Base articles for systems engineering activities.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to systems administration and engineering, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience working in a systems administration and/or systems engineering environment.
• Proficiency with each or vast majority of the following:
Active Directory (Domains and trusts/users and computers/etc) Administration
DNS Administration (Internal and External)
Group Policy Administration
VMware/ESXI Administration / Familiarization
Server Hardware Deployments/Administration
Windows Server OS Deployments/Administration/Migrations (Linux or other operating systems a plus)
Azure Server (Windows/Deployments/Administration)
Azure Automation (Runbook) Deployments/Maintenance
Familiarity with PowerShell; python or other scripting experience a plus
Azure App Registration/Enterprise Applications (helping maintain this system, creating new but also renewing certs/client secrets, and managing the client's)
Maintaining/Creating Knowledge Base articles
Microsoft 365 Administration
Microsoft Entra ID Administration
Microsoft Intune Administration
Azure Update Management Administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
