System administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.The System Administrator is responsible for all system administration tasks supporting IFED operations, infrastructure, associated personnel, and reports to the IFED CEO for all matters related to ICT and US-based ICT projects. Additionally, the IFED ICT Sys Admin is also responsible for executing internal and external ICT projects under guidance of the IFED CEO, Business Information Security Officer (BISO) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). This may include IFED ICT security admin efforts and where needed, software implementations for IFED US-Only customers. You will also have the following responsibilities:

• Serve as an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Specialist with a focus on System Administration for the U.S.-based ILIAS Federal Solutions, Inc. a.k.a. “IFED.”
• Work with various teams (client management, project management, and information security) to build, maintain, and support cloud computing environments. 
• Assess the compatibility and integration of products and services proposed as standards to build, integrate, and sustain interdependent technologies. 
• Configure and maintain scalable Infrastructure as a Service (laaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) systems. 
• Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of systems software. 
• Responsible for solutions within cloud environments e.g., Microsoft Azure. 
• Create improvements and automation to enhance the durability, performance, and maintainability of the platform.

Proven experience as an ICT System Administrator or similar IT role.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
Experience with server management, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools, firewalls, and security software.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to IT challenges.

Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear support to non-technical users.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
• Employment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation. 
• One year trial or probationary period may be required. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate CompTIA and/or Microsoft certifications for this ICT and cloud focused position. 
• Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is 25%.
