Job Description - System Engineer - Dublin Airport

The System Engineer will provide technical expertise within the team on delivering a large and complex managed desktop estate.

About the Job:
The System Engineer will provide technical expertise within the team on delivering a large and complex managed desktop estate, which includes an applications support, and professional services functions. The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues in other Infrastructure teams and client, as well as the internal teams within ITS to ensure that the managed estate is secure, compliant and fit-for-purpose.

What will you do?:

System Engineer will take a technical lead in ensuring that the team install, manage, control, deploy and maintain the desktop infrastructure systems and applications that meet Airport’s operational needs and service levels.
Act as a

level 2 escalation point for Microsoft Configuration

manager for Service Desk.
Application packaging as and when required (note that application packaging will be performed using Microsoft Configuration Manager native capability only - MSI or script installer [exe]).
Client security patches deployments and compliance reporting OSD (Operating System Deployment) task sequences configuration and troubleshooting.
Perform level-1 administrative activities

with inTune, e.g. troubleshoot end user mobile device enrolment issues, remote wipe of devices, mobile device health check, reporting.
Detailed tracking and asset management

What will you bring to ESP?
3-5 years of experience with

desktop administratio n and management within a large and complex organisation.
3-4 years of experience working with application packaging and delivery in both a Windows and MacOS environment.
3-5 years of experience of taking a technical lead on designing and leading on an automated operating system and desktop application deployment.
3-5 years of experience of scripting, automation,

SCCM , Group Policy, endpoint protection and patching.
Microsoft Certifications Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator, SCCM/MD-102 & Pre-reqs.
Knowledge of emerging trends with respect to application packing, endpoint management solutions and software packaging tools.
3-5 years of experience of using Intune and other endpoint management tools to deliver a seamless desktop user experience.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation in a dynamic project environment.
Understanding of Service Management best practices frameworks such as ITILV
Able to communicate cross functions.
Working hours – Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm
