Title: System Testing and Evaluation Specialist


Location: Hybrid, Washington, DC


Terms: Full-time


Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust


Travel: 0-20%


Position Description:


Harmonia is seeking a System Testing and Evaluation Specialist and/or Systems Developer aligned to the NICE Framework (Securely Provision) to support Federal government cybersecurity and application development initiatives.


This role is responsible for planning, preparing, executing, and evaluating system tests to ensure solutions meet defined specifications, requirements, and security standards. In addition, the role performs technical security assessments of applications, platforms, and environments, contributes to architecture reviews and security impact analyses, and provides guidance to application teams on the resolution of vulnerabilities and control weaknesses throughout the system development life cycle. 


Responsibilities:



  • Plan, prepare, and execute system and security tests to evaluate results against functional, non-functional, and security requirements.

  • Analyze and report test results, findings, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Design, develop, test, and evaluate information systems throughout the systems development life cycle.

  • Perform technical security assessments of Federal applications, platforms, and environments.

  • Contribute to architecture reviews and conduct security impact analysis for systems and applications.

  • Provide guidance to application and development teams on remediating vulnerabilities and control deficiencies.

  • Support cloud security initiatives and the secure implementation of cloud-based solutions.

  • Support secure implementation of cloud-native and emerging technologies, as applicable.

  • Ensure solutions align with Federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and security teams to integrate security into system designs.


Requirements:



  • Advanced capability level consistent with the NICE framework roles, with demonstrated abilities, knowledge, and skills to perform all core tasks.

  • Demonstrated experience performing technical security assessments of Federal applications, platforms, and environments.

  • CISSP certification or industry-accepted application or cloud development certification (required).

  • Demonstrated, recent experience in cloud security.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 


Desired:



  • Demonstrated experience supporting the secure implementation of cloud-native and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, or similar technologies.

  • Master’s degree or higher, and/or a degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting Federal system development and security testing initiatives.
