An EdTech company is seeking a remote Systems Administrator II. Utilize your skills in system and infrastructure management to troubleshoot, optimize tools, automate tasks, and participate in on-call support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead system upgrades and enhancements.
- Optimize monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams on application environments.
- Develop automation scripts to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Document procedures and mentor junior team members.
- Assist in capacity planning and technology evaluation.
- Participate in on-call rotations for incident response.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of systems administration experience.
- Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows server administration.
- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Scripting proficiency (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.
- Strong understanding of network security principles.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team environment.
