Systems Analyst

Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) has an immediate opening for a Systems Analyst at the Palmyra, Missouri location. Northeast Power is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa.

This full-time, non-exempt position is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys working across systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications and user support.

What You Will Do:

As a Systems Analyst, you will help maintain secure, reliable technology systems while supporting employees and improving IT operations. You will:

·       Install, configure, administer, monitor and maintain servers, workstations, network devices and related systems

·       Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, virtualization, mobile devices, VOIP and cloud-based applications

·       Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software and system issues

·       Monitor IT infrastructure and recommend improvements to performance, reliability and security

·       Investigate cybersecurity alerts and incidents and support security tools, controls and incident response

·       Support, modify, test and document software applications, databases and system integrations

·       Work with employees to evaluate technology needs, improve processes and provide user training

·       Evaluate and support appropriate use of new technologies, including automation, AI and large language models

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated technology professional with strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field preferred; equivalent education, certifications and experience may be considered

·       Minimum four (4) years of related experience supporting a multi-platform computing environment

·       Experience with servers, workstations, networking, firewalls, Active Directory and business applications

·       Knowledge of databases, SQL, programming or scripting, or the ability to quickly develop these skills

·       Experience or knowledge in cybersecurity monitoring, security controls and incident response

·       Strong problem-solving, documentation and organizational skills

·       Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical employees

·       Valid Class E or equivalent driver’s license and ability to maintain required licensing and insurability
