Systems Architect – IFS

We are seeking a Systems Architect with experience designing, implementing, and integrating IFS commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. This individual will translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable solutions and provide architectural guidance throughout implementation, modernization, and ongoing system support.

Key Responsibilities

  Design and maintain system architecture for IFS solutions, including application components, integrations, data flows, and deployment environments.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical designs that support business objectives.

  
  


• 
  

  Evaluate IFS capabilities and recommend configuration, integration, or extension approaches to address requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Design integrations between IFS and other enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and middleware.

  
  


• 
  

  Define requirements for security, access controls, performance, availability, and scalability.

  
  


• 
  

  Guide technical teams through implementation, data migration, testing, deployment, and upgrades.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop architecture diagrams, interface specifications, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify technical risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and recommend improvements.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with architectural standards.

  
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  

  Demonstrated experience in systems architecture or enterprise application solution design.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience implementing, integrating, or supporting IFS software.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience translating business requirements into technical architecture and detailed solution designs.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, relational databases, and data migration.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience addressing security, performance, scalability, and availability requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to evaluate COTS functionality and balance business needs with maintainability and upgrade considerations.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree 

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with IFS Cloud or IFS Applications.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with IFS implementations, upgrades, or modernization initiatives.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with ERP, enterprise asset management, or field service management business processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with IFS implementation partners and cross-functional delivery teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Relevant IFS or enterprise architecture certifications.
