The Systems Engineer will assist in the design, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of on premise and cloud-based resources to meet company and departmental goals and standards for availability, capacity, and security. The primary focus of the role is to support store and corporate environments, with a focus on maintaining a secure environment through vulnerability identification and remediation. This role will also participate heavily in the ongoing maintenance of the Store environment including coordination of new store openings, ongoing network maintenance and store mobile devices. In addition to infrastructure support, this role will assist in tracking and resolving billing conflicts.
A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:
Store & Corporate Environment Support
Maintain and support Microsoft Windows servers in a 2016 Active Directory domain:
Test, evaluate, and implement server software, patches, updates, and upgrades
Analyze monthly security scans and remediate vulnerabilities as needed
Monitor servers and related services and technologies
Review activity logs for anomalous activity as needed
Assist in management of Microsoft Active Directory Domain for both Corporate and Stores
Group Policy development/ deployment
Account administration
Manage and maintain Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware solutions for the Enterprise
Assist in managing new and remodel store opening processes, including infrastructure readiness, equipment provisioning, and on-site or remote support coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Construction, Facilities, Store Operations) to ensure stores are technology-ready by opening dates
Provide level-three support for the Support Services, Desktop Services, and Store Services Groups in order to resolve client issues in a timely manner
Assist in maintenance of Store network. Including working with Vendor to do end to end troubleshooting with store personnel with issues related to latency or packet loss
Maintain accurate and current documentation of all procedures performed and create reports as needed
Participate in on-call rotation
Cloud Environment Support
Monitor and assist in maintenance of Microsoft Entra ID and O365 platforms
Monitor and assist in maintenance of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform resources
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration between on-premises and cloud systems resources such as SFTP and other integration points
Support cloud security posture by collaborating with the IT security team to discover, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure
Billing Support
Assist the team to track, investigate, and resolve billing conflicts related to IT infrastructure services and vendor invoicing
Coordinate with Finance and vendor teams to ensure timely and accurate billing resolution
What it takes to Join:
Degree preferred but not required.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems in an Active Directory environment, with a minimum of three years of practical technology experience
Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Appropriate temperament and knowledge to assist with on-call user support
Experience with Rapid7, Tanium, Blackberry Protect, and other system management tools preferred
Experience supporting retail store environments preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) preferred
Salary Range: ($84,809- $102,000)

Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
