Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, excellent problem -solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
   
2. Design and develop system architectures, including hardware, software, networks, and integration components, to meet project objectives.
   
3. Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements or enhancements to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
   
4. Conduct system integration and testing to ensure compatibility, interoperability, and compliance with standards and requirements.
   
5. Implement and configure systems components, including servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and software applications.
   
6. Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
   
7. Develop and maintain documentation, including system diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
   
8. Collaborate with cross -functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity specialists, to deliver integrated solutions.
   
9. Manage system deployments, upgrades, and migrations while minimizing disruption to business operations.
   
10. Implement security measures and best practices to protect systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
    
11. Provide technical support and guidance to end users, help desk staff, and other IT personnel as needed.
    
12. Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in systems engineering and IT operations.
    

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
   
2. Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of five years in IT infrastructure design and implementation.
   
3. Strong knowledge of system architecture principles, including distributed computing, virtualization, and cloud computing.
   
4. Proficiency in system administration, including Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
   
5. Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, for automating system deployment and management tasks.
   
6. Hands -on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper -V, KVM) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
   
7. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
   
8. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing systems and data.
   
9. Excellent analytical and problem -solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
   
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    
11. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast -paced environment.
    
12. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements and industry trends.
