Based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.\n\nThis position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.\n\nPosition Overview:\n\nThe Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is the integrating element of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively observe the battle as it develops, and dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats across all ranges and phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks, integrates, and synchronizes autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is an integral part of all system ground and flight tests that verify and exercise the capabilities of current and future missile defense systems.\n\nIntegrate Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) hardware and software into testbeds and operational systems.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\n * Conduct comprehensive system checkouts of virtual machines, networks, and message flows\n\n * Collaborate with internal and external entities across the Missile Defense System (MDS) to test, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues\n\n * Author test plans and procedures\n\n * Write Problem Reports to document issues\n\n * Provide feedback to Developers\n\n * Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files\n\n * Perform data analysis of input/output and internal message traffic\n\n * Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events and integration activities\n\n * Support meetings with National Team groups, other MDS elements, and Government customers\n\n * Non-standard work hours may be required on occasion, depending on test or fielding schedules\n\n * The position is based at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO, but travel to fielded sites and National Team locations (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nPlease list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.\n\n * A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master\u2019s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with relevant work experience\n * Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CISSP, SecurityX, CCNA Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period\n * Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start\n * Willingness to 10% travel for business needs\n * 0-2 years of experience as a system integrator or administrator\n * Must have domain expertise in one or more of these areas: Networking, Linux, and/or Windows\n * Self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with the Government customer and with internal and external personnel in the program\n * Basic troubleshooting skills and an ability to understand the hardware and software components operating in a widely distributed virtual environment\n * Ability to conduct complex troubleshooting by analyzing application and system logs, network configurations, and interface documentation\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Certificate: Completion of Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program (Ex, UCSD, Stevens University, MIT, Caltech)\n * Certification: INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) Certification\n * Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model User (OCSMP - MU)\n * Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS), including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks\n * Prior integration and testing experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program\n * Experience with Agile Methodologies\n * Creation and management of capabilities, features, and PRs\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You:\n\nNorthrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that fosters your growth, supporting both your success and the company\u0027s. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
