Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team supporting Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC). This position can be filled at Level 2 or Level 3 and will be based in Colorado Springs, CO.\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get to Do:\n\nPrimary purpose will be to provide Systems Engineering support to IPTs with strong focus on traditional system engineering best practices. This includes requirements decomposition, SRR/PDR/CDR support, and technical expertise for the product line that they primarily support. Additional duties to include facilitation of technical content captured from SMEs to support CDRL development, I\u0026T consultation and support, and technical baseline updates.\n\n * Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level requirements.\n * Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.\n * Assist with the generation of well-defined and executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents.\n * Support system/subsystems integration, test, and requirements verification activities.\n * Support system technical performance measurement definition and tracking.\n * Support the preparation of system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, and other program reviews as needed.\n * Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status\n * Minimal travel is expected.\n\n\n\nRelocation assistance is NOT available for this position.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n * Active Secret clearance at time of application.\n\n * Level 2: Bachelor\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of applicable experience; OR 0 years experience with a Master\u2019s degree\n\n * Level 3: Bachelor\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of applicable experience; OR 3 years experience with a Master\u2019s degree; OR 1 year of experience with a PhD.\n\n * Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management\n\n * Familiarity with DOORS\n\n * Experience working with cross-functional integrated product teams\n\n * Experience working through the Systems Engineering lifecycle process for system development\n\n * Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)\n\n * Experience with SharePoint\n\n * Expertise with MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)\n\n * Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to project plan and execute\n\n * Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience with technical writing for specifications and technical baseline documentation\n\n * Experience with MBSE Modeling (Cameo)\n\n * Familiarity with PLM tools (Siemens, Windchill, Teamcenter)\n\n * Familiarity with Radar Systems and operations\n\n * Experience with Agile software development (PI Planning, 2-week sprint cycles, story pointing, etc.)\n\n * Proven ability to manage Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) delivery from inception to completion, including providing technical expertise, ensuring alignment with software architecture, and drafting deliverable documents by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the system\u0027s software architecture.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
