Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in either Oklahoma City, OK, OR Rancho Bernardo, CA.\n\nThis Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer position is for an individual contributor within a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Responsibilities include conducting research, writing requirements, developing models, defining interfaces and performing analysis while working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure to drive the development of new program requirements, refine existing program requirements, and influence the pursuit of future technologies and capabilities. The selected candidate will collaborate across the engineering disciplines and technology areas to integrate and communicate technical capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers across multiple simultaneous Modernization and Sustainment efforts.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n * Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.\n * Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.\n * Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads. \n * Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts following proper configuration management procedures.\n * Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of Systems Engineering artifacts\n * Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent communications skills to support coordination across IPTs and with external customers.\n * Solicit input from various stakeholders and team members to synthesize data and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\n\n\nWe offer a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, and a very friendly team environment. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.\n\nThis position may be filled at either the Systems Engineer OR Principal Systems Engineer level.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline.\n * Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of experience\n * Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to start.\n * Experience with military aircraft or weapon system design and/or operation to include requirements verification and certification.\n * Experience with DOORS\n * Experience interpreting, deriving, allocating, or managing technical requirements\n * Experience with Python or other scripting language\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with requirement decomposition and traceability from System to Unit/Supplier Specifications\n * Experience with software development\n * Experience with HW/SW integration testing\n * Experience with Agile execution\n * Experience with managing suppliers with technical requirements and verification expectations\n * Experience with DOORS DXL and DOORS administration\n * Experience with Cameo\n * Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\n * Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment software development for Aircraft Sustainment efforts\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $75,100.00 - $137,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $171,000.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
