The position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.\n\n**This role may be filled at the Base OR Principal levels based on the qualifications listed, below**\n\nThe successful candidate will be supporting the Systems Engineering Nuclear Surety Team. The candidate will perform and support evaluations of designs for nuclear surety requirement compliance. The candidate should be comfortable with requirement derivation, verification processes, system architecture examinations, and communication across numerous technical disciplines. The candidate will support IPTs on the implementation and demonstration of nuclear surety requirement compliance to include hardware, software, and test support.\n\nThe successful candidate will support Nuclear Safety Design Certification activities to produce required artifacts in accordance with AFI 63-125, lead and support nuclear surety planning, certification assessments, and risk \u0026 vulnerability activities to include Fault Tree and Signal Path analyses. They will also coordinate with key stakeholders such as AFNWC, AFSEC, NNSA, and AFGSC.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline.\n\n\u2022 Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 year of experience\n\n\u2022 Experience with military aircraft or weapon system design and/or operation to include requirements verification and certification.\n\n\u2022 Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)\n\n\u2022 Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\\- Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119, AFI 91-107, AFI 91-101)\n\n\\- Experience with Fault Tree Analyses, Signal Path Analyses, Technical Risk Assessments, or other safety-related analyses\n\n\\- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\n\n\\- Experience interpreting, deriving, allocating, or managing technical requirements\n\n\\- Experience with software development\n\n\\- Experience with nuclear weapons design, manufacture, development, or operations\n\n\\- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760\n\n\\- Demonstrated experience with nuclear certification stakeholders such as AFNWC, AFSEC, NNSA, and AFGSC\n\n\\- DoD Top Secret / SCI Clearance\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
