IT Systems Engineer
$85,00 - $110,000

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT systems and network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional user experiences across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Engineering:

  • Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical IT systems, including servers (on-premise and Azure Cloud), workstations, and associated software.
  • Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs and drive innovation.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventive measures to ensure high availability and optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to plan, execute, and support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

Network Administration:

  • Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Develop and enforce network standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and security protocols.
  • Implement robust network security measures, including access controls, intrusion prevention, and monitoring systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related issues, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Participate in network capacity planning, performance optimization, and future-proofing initiatives.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Provide expert-level technical support to end-users, addressing system and network issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk team to streamline support processes and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist Project Leads in assessing and implementing new software releases, hardware upgrades, and emerging technologies.
  • Support the roll-out of PCs, software, and hardware, ensuring smooth adoption and user training.
  • Contribute to the management of equipment and personnel in local and remote locations.
  • Participate in major projects, including software and hardware installations, taking a lead role in coordinating project activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems engineering and enterprise network administration.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft technologies, desktop operating systems, networking, security, and server software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft MDM software (Intune) and Cisco Meraki networking solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including Azure and VMWare.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software, on-site and remotely.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
