T26/27 Special Ed Teacher ( Jefferson)

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Thomas Jefferson Middle School for SY27. 

Responsibilities: 

• Maintains safe and orderly environment.


• Communicates with parents/guardians.


• Maintains complete and accurate student records.


• Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.


• Monitors and assesses student achievement.


• Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings.

Experience: 

• Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.


• Knowledge of best instructional practices.


• Ability to integrate technology.


• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.

Qualifications: 

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.


• Special Education endorsement.


• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Salary:

  Salary based on the 2026-27 T-Scale salary schedule. Salary will be based on the FY 2026-27 salary schedule:  $59,429 - $144,723
