The Table Games Manager provides outstanding customer service and interaction according to the policies and standards set forth by the Company. Oversees the table games operation on a daily basis of the assigned shift for the entire casino including table games, and assisting slots, and keno. Must know scheduling, casino operations, and have ability to perform manager functions as prescribed by the Company communicating between all properties.
- Oversees floor supervisors and dealers as they perform their assigned duties.
- Watches participants in games such as dice, roulette or cards to detect cheating, identify rule violators, and observe persons designated by superior.
- Speaks or signals to supervising personnel using hand, telephone, or voice to identify and supply information about suspected violators.
- Examines dice periodically to check for damage or substitution.
- Calculates winnings to verify payment made by gaming staff.
- Thorough knowledge of the table games offered by the company including the dealing procedures, payouts, cheque handling and game protection.
- Thorough knowledge of all gaming regulations and internal controls for the State of Nevada.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn slot floor operations including jackpots, overrides, voids, ticket-in-ticket-out functions, etc.
- An outgoing personality able to communicate well in all conditions, able to respond in a positive manner to customer or employee issues and turn negative situations into positive ones and make the guest experience the best possible.
- To verify sufficient personnel coverage in all sections and report deficiencies to respective supervisors and/or departments.
- Assure all areas of the property are properly secured and free from any hazardous conditions.
- Notify the appropriate supervisors and/or departments anytime a condition and/or emergency occurs that their presence is deemed necessary.
- Rectify and/or correct any problems which may arise. It is essential that guest comfort, satisfaction and safety always remain of paramount importance.
- Handling all emergency situations and maintaining emergency procedures.
- As needed, submit relief shift manager reports for your shift to Director of Casino Operations outlining all events/incidents of significance.
- Remains calm under pressure. Reacts well to change and stays positive despite setbacks. Keeps work and personal difficulties in perspective.
- Maintain customer and business confidentiality.
- Title 31 training, re-training, and compliance.
- Verbal & aesthetically pleasing communication skills.
- Performs related and/or other duties as required.
Alcohol Management
- Table Games Manager will handle incidents including guests at table games that are intoxicated while working with Security and/or Police.
- Confront the individual and advise of your concerns.
- Offer alternatives to alcohol (i.e., non-alcoholic beverages, etc.).
- Arrange for transportation, if necessary.
- Resolve the situation professionally and quickly.
Requirements
- Be 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Gaming Card.
- State of Nevada Bar Card is preferred.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Minimum of three years of progressively increasing supervisory experience in Table Games and operational knowledge of Roulette.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in the gaming industry with two years’ previous shift manager or equivalent experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position typically works varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift 25 pounds; this position would require business professional attire.
