Tactical Analyst

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tactical Analyst. This role is central to our technical staff, combining deep analytical insights with practical application during training sessions. The ideal candidate will support the Head Coach and technical staff in preparing the team tactically while contributing directly to the coaching environment on the pitch.

Key Responsibilities

Tactical Analysis

• Analyze team and individual performance using video and data tools.
• Prepare pre- and post-match reports on opponents and our team, including trends, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Deliver tactical presentations to players and staff to support match preparation and player development.
• Tag and code matches and training sessions, and maintain an organized video database.
• Collaborate with data and performance staff to translate metrics into actionable insights.
• Support scouting and recruitment with tactical assessments of potential signings.

On-Field Coaching Support

• Assist the Head Coach during training sessions, supporting the design and delivery of drills with a tactical focus.
• Help implement match plans and team principles during training.
• Provide individual coaching to players in alignment with tactical objectives.
• Actively contribute to planning sessions and daily coaching meetings.
• Be a visible and engaged member of the coaching team on the field and in the locker room.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• UEFA B License (or equivalent) minimum; A License or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in professional football as an analyst or assistant coach.
• Strong knowledge of football tactics, systems of play, and performance analysis tools.
• Proficiency in video editing and analysis software.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to coaches and players.
• Experience working directly with players and coaching staff on the field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mentality.
• Ability to travel and work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with NWSL playing styles and opponent trends.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language) is a plus.
