Job Description - Take 5 - Fleet Sales and Marketing Manager


Position Summary:
The Fleet Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for driving growth in the fleet customer segment by developing and executing sales strategies, building long-term client relationships, and leading targeted marketing initiatives. This role requires a balance of strategic planning and hands-on execution, with a focus on expanding market share, increasing revenue, and strengthening brand visibility in the fleet services sector.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new fleet accounts and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Identify business opportunities with local, regional, and national fleets.
  • Build strong relationships with fleet managers, procurement officers, and business owners to understand needs and tailor solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns, promotions, and materials targeting fleet decision-makers.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and service agreements for fleet clients.
  • Track sales performance against targets and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Partner with operations to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify large employers  for employer discount opportunities to drive consumer business.  
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Manage budget for fleet sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring ROI on campaigns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.       2+ years of sales and/or marketing experience, (preferred with at least 1 year in fleet, automotive, transportation, or related industry).
  • Strong knowledge of B2B sales cycles and contract negotiation.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and developing new business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to execute tactical initiatives.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, data analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness for extensive travel within Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri.
