Job Description - Talent Acquisition Associate

The Role:

Our Talent Acquisition Associates play an integral role in attracting great people to Morningstar from providing the first experience through candidate sourcing, to interview scheduling, to the pre-onboarding process. We seek someone who's passionate about hiring the best, who values creating a great candidate experience, and who understands the importance of finding talented people with a passion for our mission to create great products that help investors reach their financial goals. This position reports to our Talent Acquisition Lead and is based in our Chicago office.

Responsibilities:

Partner with our Americas' Talent Acquisition Specialists (recruiters) to own interview scheduling, playing a critical role as Morningstar's first point of contact for our candidates and future employees.
Assist in sourcing candidates by partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to identify ideal candidates and utilizing our internal and external candidate sourcing tools to uncover them.
Assisting in the assessment and implementation of interview scheduling automation to further our goal of scaling TA processes supporting Morningstar's long-term business goals.
Continuously contribute to improving and enhancing the candidate and hiring manager experience, including collecting and analyzing survey feedback.
Enthusiastically promote Morningstar as a great place to work through campus recruiting, professional organizations and other promotion efforts, as needed.
Ensure requisitions align with documented process and procedures and then check for any potential errors/inconsistencies.
Support the candidate offer, background check and pre-onboarding processes, ensuring the highest quality and thoroughness.
Manage and solve inquiries that come from TA team and our candidates.
Assist our TA Process Lead with process documentation and other process improvement and automation projects.
Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
1-2 years of professional experience and a proven track record in People & Culture (HR) or in a client service-related role.
Strong desire in a career path in talent acquisition, including sourcing candidates to uncover talent, both internally and externally.
Proven ability to learn quickly, act professionally, and proactively take responsibility.
Demonstration of a high level of discretion and candor relating to sensitive or confidential information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while delivering on a dynamic candidate and hiring manager experience, acting with appropriate urgency to time sensitive work.
Strong attention to detail and a process improvement inclination.
