POSITION PURPOSE

Sources, interviews, evaluates and assists the hiring manager in the selection of talent for the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Creates and owns a positive candidate experience.
  • Sources active and passive candidates through creative and strategic sourcing methods.
  • Partners with Hiring Managers to plan and executes successful recruitment initiatives. Discuss current and upcoming staffing needs.
  • Manages a requisition load of 25-50 roles at any given time across multiple business areas.
  • Conducts phone screens/interviews with potential Associates.  Evaluates and develops accurate conclusions regarding a candidate’s experience, skills and abilities as it relates to the position.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Conducts information sessions and presentations to prospective associates.  Represents the Company at job fairs and other events.
  • Ensures adherence to all EEO legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act and other government compliance requirements in regards to interviews, testing and hiring processes.
  • Ensures that follow-up interviews with hiring manager/supervisor and other decision makers are scheduled.
  • Contributes ideas and actions towards the continuous improvement of talent acquisition processes, including the development and maintenance of operational procedures.
  • Maintains necessary files related to applications, interviews and testing procedures.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned or required. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area
  • At least 2 years of recruiting related experience or a combination of education and experience. 
  • Successful track record in of hiring passive/directly sourced candidates utilizing various recruiting resources.
  • Familiar with talent acquisition systems. 
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.  
  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple deliverables/deadlines.
  • Exceptional teamwork, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years recruitment experience is preferred. 
  • A PHR/SPHR is preferred. 
  • Familiar with Workday, SmashFly or other recruitment technologies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

DECISION MAKING & IMPACT OF ERRORS

Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually moderate cost.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Able to move about the work environment. 
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.
  • Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight stays.
