Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Dallas)

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition and Retention Coordinator is responsible for identifying sources of talent, screening applicants, providing hiring managers with viable candidates, and scheduling and participating in interview panels. The person in this position is also responsible implementing initiatives which will increase employee retention, including new employee welcoming, performance development, succession planning, morale, and diversity with the goal of ensuring that the organization is an Employer of Choice.

Responsibilities

1. Support Focus
   
   
   
   1. Schedules and assists with the interviewing process, by developing questions, working with the hiring manager to identify interview panel members, coordinating interviews, and participating in interviews, as appropriate.
   
   
   2. Ensures that new hires are welcomed into the organization and all immediate needs and questions are addressed.
   
   
   3. Verifies and assures new hire documents are legitimate and valid.
   
   
   4. Contacts new hires regarding background check results to obtain additional information and makes recommendations on hiring decision based on regulations and laws.
   
   
   5. Troubleshoots system issues with new hires.
   
   
   6. Provides HR support such as scheduling appointments, scheduling meeting rooms, etc.
   
   
   7. Identifies the best method to find and attract talent based on the position and location of the opening.
   
   
   8. Engages with Pressley Ridge’s Marketing Department to assist with developing recruitment materials for the organization.
   
   
   9. Offers innovative ideas to enhance the service we provide to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
   
   
   10. Utilizes the ATS to manage the hiring process and complete regular maintenance of applications and/or resumes.
   
   
   11. Enters new hires into HRIS systems, and uploads files into electronic employee personnel file.
   
   
   12. Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite to fulfill the objectives of the department and organization.
   
   
   13. Enters background check requests through various portals or systems and obtains results of background checks.
   
   
   14. Participates in meetings and other activities internal to Texas Family Care Network; specifically but not limited to monthly HR staff meetings.
   
   
   15. Collaborates with TFCN management and administrative staff as needed.
   
   
   16. Works with the hiring managers to “nest” the new employee and provide support for the employee during the beginning of their employment.
   
   
   17. Assists with special projects or other HR related tasks to support the HR function.

   1. Conducts surveys and conversations with employees to gather feedback surrounding their new hire experience, first 30 days of employment, and exits.

   1. Conducts presentations at various organizations and/or schools/ colleges/ universities.
   
   
   2. Pre-screens applicants through phone interviews and/ or other methods.
   
   
   3. Conducts face-to-face interviews with viable candidates.

   1. Receives supervision.
      
      
      
      1. Receives supervision from and actively communicates with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, written message and when possible, in person regarding program matters.

   1. Seeks to provide guidance and/or suggestions surrounding hiring best practices and our hiring process.
   
   
   2. Receives and responds to new hire inquiries related to the hiring process, material covered in orientation, and system issues.
   
   
   3. Consults with Program/Department Directors on position vacancies and the hiring strategy and provides support.
   
   
   
   


6. Community Engagement
   
   
   
   1. Maintains positive relationships with community organizations, high schools, colleges, and universities to identify current and/or future talent.
   
   
   2. Represents the organization at internal and external career fairs.
   
   
   
   


7. Documentation
   
   
   
   1. Ensures all new hires complete the necessary pre-employment paperwork and background requirements.
   
   
   2. Completes all required paperwork that is legible, accurate and uses professional language and meets timelines as prescribed by the HR Director.
   
   
   3. Maintains accurate documentation of meeting minutes, as requested.
   
   
   
   


8. Risk Management and Safety
   
   
   
   1. Ensures work is compliant with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as internal organization policy.
   
   
   2. Ensures that personnel files are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and policies and assists internal and external auditors.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications

1. Education/Credentials/Licensure:
   
   
   
   1. Requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
   
   
   2. Requires a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and vehicle insurance.
   
   
   
   


2. Experience:
   
   
   
   1. Requires two (2) to three (3) years of administrative experience.
   
   
   2. Talent acquisition experience, preferred.
   
   
   3. Requires the ability to travel both locally and nationally by air, as needed to attend events, meetings, trainings and the like.
   
   
   4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
   
   
   5. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
   
   
   6. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
   
   
   7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
   
   
   8. Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions

1. Physical Demands
   
   
   
   1. This position requires operating a keypad device 70% of the day and electronic/office equipment 15% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month and works in weather conditions about 10% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, and feet are all routinely used throughout the day. The lower and upper torso is used 75% of the day. Employee must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Hearing not applicable for the School for the Deaf. Walking is required 75% of the day. Standing occurs 60% of the day. Sitting happens 25% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 20% of the day. This function routinely lifts 15 pounds, 4 times per day.
