Description
The City of Detroit - Human Resources Department, Recruitment division
is accepting applications for an experienced Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition team. A successful candidate will provide support to our recruiters to ensure a seamless recruiting process. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service with a process improvement mindset and that excels in a fast paced and professional working environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Illustrative)
Support full cycle recruitment process up to and including pre-boarding.
Disposition candidates in our applicant tracking system
Post and promote jobs utilizing various sites to drive a diverse candidate pool including using social media (i.e.LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook)
Assist in researching new avenues to attract and identify top talent
Schedule candidate interviews
Prepare offer letters
Generate reports and track metrics related to hiring
Following up with candidates during the recruitment process, like shortlisting callbacks or rejection emails.
Assist in coordinating job fairs, networking events, street teams and recruiting clinics.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
For all Human Resources Assistants, it is a requirement to have completed High School graduation or GeneralEducational Development (GED) certificate. Preferred Associates in Business Administration or related field.
Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in a support role, human resources or Talent Acquisition, preferred.
