Talent Acquisition Partner

Job Description - Talent Acquisition Partner

Company Overview

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas. These include airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special air missions, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation. We own the whole stack: designing, building, and operating turnkey capabilities that give our partners decisive, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats.

Our operating model is built around three interlocking pillars. The Support Groups provide a global shared-service – spanning people, finance, platform, operations, legal, and engagement. This frees up our Core Groups, who develop and own mission capabilities end-to-end, to focus entirely on delivery. The Market Groups apply a regional lens, ensuring that our agile and adaptable capabilities remain aligned to the wicked problems that matter most to our partners across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.

At the heart of our model is a simple but powerful idea: be a true partner with skin in the game. Our partners need effects, not just equipment. By owning the full stack – from the lab to the field – we are able to drive a continuous cycle of innovation that keeps our partners ahead. It's a fast-moving, intellectually demanding environment where talented people are given real responsibility, work on problems that matter, and contribute to an enterprise that is growing quickly and deliberately.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, with facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, as well as Continental Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Position Summary

At Metrea, we seek out the most complex national security challenges and proactively develop elegant solutions. Those solutions start with our people, and their ability to deliver mission-critical effects around the world.

Our Talent Acquisition team is focused on delivering equally compelling and strategic recruiting solutions to our teammates and business leaders through deep recruiting expertise, a consultative approach, and analytical rigor. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across Metrea's US and European Electromagnetic & Cyber Group to deliver high-quality hiring.

EM&C at its core is a tightly integrated unit consisting of prior military, scientists, software developers, program managers and lab leads that work across a myriad of technology domains staffing contracts and prototyping. The roles range from ability to obtain a clearance to roles requiring an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph or CI Polygraph.

We're actively investing in our TA function and you'll own meaningful pieces of that build alongside your peers across TA. You will be successful if you are an experienced in-house recruiter who runs searches with sound judgement, knows what exceptional recruiting looks like, and can confidently influence senior stakeholders with clear recommendations and thoughtful challenge.

What You'll Do

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting processes for cleared and non-cleared technical positions, from requisition intake and sourcing through candidate assessment, offer, and close

  • Recruit extensively within the government contracting, defense, aerospace, intelligence, and national security sectors, with a focus on highly specialized technical talent

  • Source, identify, and engage candidates for positions including engineering, software, hardware, RF, cyber, SIGINT, communications, technical program management, and other mission-focused disciplines

  • Develop and maintain targeted pipelines of cleared candidates, including candidates holding active and recently active U.S. government security clearances

  • Develop creative and targeted sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill cleared positions using recruiting platforms, professional networks, referrals, cleared talent communities, industry events, and other channels

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the cleared talent market, including clearance levels, adjudication considerations, clearance reciprocity, and the challenges associated with recruiting candidates for sensitive government programs

  • Support recruiting strategies aligned with government contract requirements, program staffing needs, and changing technical workforce demands

  • Partner with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to shape talent strategies that align with business priorities, managing up effectively and educating on recruiting best practices

What You Bring

  • Talent acquisition experience, with specific expertise supporting government contractors, defense, aerospace, intelligence, or national security organizations

  • Demonstrated experience recruiting for positions requiring U.S. government security clearances

  • Proven experience recruiting across highly technical disciplines such as software engineering, electrical engineering, RF engineering, Field Programable Gate Array (FPGA), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), embedded systems, mechanical engineering, cyber operations, SIGINT, communications, and technical project management

  • Working knowledge of U.S. government security clearance levels and clearance terminology, including Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, and relevant polygraph requirements

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent requisitions with competing priorities and fast paced staffing requirements

  • Strong understanding of recruiting compliance, employment practices, and applicable government contracting hiring requirements

  • Proven ability to consult, partner, and influence at multiple levels—managing up to leadership, laterally with peers, and as a leader to your team

  • Strong judgement in shaping recruitment approaches and improving processes to deliver high-quality hires

  • Experience managing multi-step, complex hiring processes across geographically dispersed teams and time zones

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn and cleared recruiting platforms (Clearance Jobs)

  • Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking systems

  • Familiarity with enterprise support functions including People, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Strategy

  • Ownership mentality. You see problems and want to solve them, and you're energized by having clear ownership of meaningful work

Benefits

  • HSA/FSA accounts

  • Dental and vision coverage

  • 6% employer 401(k) match

  • Fully paid parental leave for all new parents
