Job Description - Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role at Above The Barre Dance Academy focuses on providing expertise in recruiting, selection, and hiring processes in accordance with the Academy’s values and needs. The qualified candidate will be responsible for overseeing the talent acquisition processes from sourcing and attracting candidates, to their successful integration into our team. Applying strategic, proactive recruitment and selection methods are fundamental to ensure the Academy is staffed with skilled and dedicated employees.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute recruitment plans to fill open positions
    • Construct job descriptions and specifications, establish applicant qualifications, and craft recruitment posts
    • Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, career sites, and professional networks
    • Screen job applicants and conduct initial interviews, effectively evaluating applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, and experience
    • Organize and facilitate interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews
    • Collaborate with managers to forecast future hiring needs
    • Construct and present job offers, manage salary negotiations, talent pool analysis, and onboarding processes
    • Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings
    • Generate regular reports and provide feedback to the HR team and upper management about the effectiveness of recruitment strategies

Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
    • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role in human resources
    • Familiar with Candidate Management Systems (CMS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
    • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
    • Understanding of full-cycle recruiting methods
    • Aptitude in employer branding and recruitment marketing
    • Strategic thinker and problem-solving skills
    • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
