Talent Acquisition Specialist

who will be responsible for a wide range of human resource activities. This position will be primarily responsible for recruiting efforts and assisting with critical hires for the division. This opportunity gives a fantastic opportunity to be exposed to a full cycle recruitment and selection using the new DNRP Recruitment Standard, which was recently awarded the 2024 Best Run Government Award!

About the Role:
This role will be instrumental in helping Parks HR attract and hire new team members who bring their unique skills and qualities that will further Parks' service-oriented mission and vision. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will primarily be responsible for recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities in partnership with Parks' hiring managers and key leaders. This role requires partnership with local and regional organizations to coordinate and attend career focused events. Additional responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to records management, providing HR Generalist duties and analytical advice and support, training, new employee orientation, prospective talent sourcing, maintaining human resources related databases, and other human resources functions under the direction of the division's Human Resources Manager-II.

This position performs work remotely and onsite.

Job Duties

What You Will Be Doing

:
Manage full-cycle recruitment and selection processes including consulting with hiring managers, posting job opportunities, arranging outreach, screening applications, assist with preparation/development of hiring/interviewing materials, monitor applicant tracking, and overseeing pre-employment processes.
Participate in recruitment focused activities which includes community outreach and partnerships, talent-sourcing, recruitment planning, and fostering professional networks with a focus on diversity.
Complete HR generalist functions - including but not limited to records maintenance and PeopleSoft entries, general employee inquiry response, HR special projects, HR process support and collaboration with Sr. HR Analysts and Human Resource Manager II.
Process Special Duty, probationary and Initial Hire approvals and notifications.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Qualifications You Bring

:

Increasingly responsible human resource generalist experience, with a strong emphasis on full-scale recruitment in occasional high-volume capacity.
Ability to organize, track and maintain multiple recruitment processes. Ability to effectively multitask and handle complex, multilayered issues with often competing priorities.
Superb customer service skills and advanced ability and proficiency in written and verbal communications.
Experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds, including sensitivity and awareness of various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and/or Human Capital Management (HCM) software.

Knowledge and multi-year experience within the field of human resources and labor relations.
Experience using NEOGOV for recruitment.

Working Conditions:

Remote and Onsite Work Details:

Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements typically 2-3 times a month as needed for meetings and presentations. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). Remote Work Location Requirement:

Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
Work Schedule:

This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
