Job Description - Talent Acquisition Specialist - Early Career

What We Are Looking For

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at SCS Engineers, you will play a critical role in recruiting early career talent, focusing on interns and entry-level engineers and scientists nationwide. Your responsibilities will include full lifecycle recruiting, with a significant emphasis on sourcing and nurturing early career candidates. You will also play a key role in managing our internship program.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will work closely with the VP and Talent Acquisition Director on early career strategy.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of two days per week in our Long Beach office. If you are passionate about recruiting top talent, detail-oriented, and enjoy building relationships, this role could be an excellent fit for you.

How You Can Make An Impact

Develop and implement college recruitment plans and strategies to attract interns and entry-level candidates.
Represent SCS by attending and setting up college career fairs, presentations, and involvement in on-campus clubs.
Develop relationships and collaborate with career centers, professors, and business units on college recruiting plans to attract top talent.
Responsible for ordering, tracking, and shipping all recruiting materials for college events.
Perform innovative candidate sourcing utilizing a variety of options that may include: internet recruiting, networking, social media, job fairs, professional associations, and employee referral program.
Market our Internship Program on college campuses, assist in running the internship program, and provide insights to improve our program.
Oversee the administrative side of the Internship program and keep in touch with former Interns.
Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
Conduct pre-screens and interviews, develop professional rapport with candidates and recommend top talent to hiring managers.
Draft offer letters and make offers of employment.
Build a positive candidate experience, managing candidate communities, and maintaining relationships for those candidates not selected or who do not graduate for some time.
Develop a pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of need and build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
Manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS) database including CRM.
Assist in outreach efforts and adhere to Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and state and federal laws, as well as track all outreach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 2 years of college recruiting experience required.
Technical recruiting experience is a plus.
Experience with internship programs is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 20% nationwide required.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required.

Pay range for this position is $65k to $80k depending on experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
