Job Description

Assess the job strengths and weaknesses of employees by observing performance records and listening to manager feedback, then develop programs that address the gaps. Talent Development Generalist is a confidant for employees and managers seeking counsel on their team's, or their own, challenges and opportunities.

Reporting to the Manager Talent Development, the Talent Management Generalist is responsible for assisting in the design and execution of initiatives that drive employee engagement, development, and retention of employees as well as drive company values and competencies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Internship Program - Strategic design, management and execution of TTX Company's Internship Program. Design a yearly program to create a pipeline for future talent, give students a valuable opportunity and TTX employees management and mentorship skills. Responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, programing and off-boarding. Also includes management of an HR Intern.
HRIS Administration - Maintains and organizes Talent and Learn Modules within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the Talent Module
• Creates standard and ad hoc queries or reports
• Provides data summaries or statistical analysis for use in strategic planning or decision-making
• Prepares end-user documentation or training materials as needed
Learning & Development - Works closely with the Senior Manager Organizational Development to develop and conduct TTX-wide training. Develops and updates course content and coordinates learning curriculum. Supports and coordinates the work of external instructional designers, facilitators, and coaches. Assists in identification, selection and relationship management of preferred sources for training and education. Supports the delivery and oversight of learning programs - such as Railroad Operations Training Program. Serves as key administrator to update and continuously improve Oracle Learn. May work with individuals to suggest training and development opportunities to assist the employee in meeting career objectives. Administers Company's Educational Assistance Program.
Talent Retention & Engagement - Assists in facilitating engagement surveys and identifying engagement and retention programs based on employee engagement data. May take the lead to implement programs that foster employee engagement and retention, such as the Employee Engagement Team and New Hire Onboarding.
Employee Communication - Manages the employee communication platform including content and vendor management. Coordinates and administers the day-to-day information sharing through TTX's digital communication platform (The Hub), digital signage and social media.
Performance Management - Coordinates the annual performance management program. Maintains materials and communications for the processes, including timelines and administration in the Oracle Talent Module.
HR Record Maintenance -
• Partner with Recruiting to manage corporate Job Descriptions
• Partner with HR and Law Departments to manage TTX Company's policies

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current trends in Talent and Performance Management processes
• Experience in system administration including Performance & Learning
• Ability to influence managers and leaders within the organization
• Ability to take ownership of projects, and manage resources to achieve project outcomes
• Gives and takes feedback in open and supportive manner
• Some experience in facilitating groups in meetings, workshops or briefings
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal are essential for leading, coaching and corresponding at all levels of the organization.
• Outstanding collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage through change in a team-oriented culture.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
