About the project
We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be the part of a team of senior professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. The purpose of the position is to assist with the overall financial operations of the company.
Your key responsibilities include:
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed
Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
Enter and upload invoices into system
Track expenses and process expense reports
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Assist with other accounting projects
Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
Your expertise to meet the requirement:
Experience in accounts payable
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Knowledge of finance principles and financial reporting
Knowledge of laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation
Experience in Netsuite would be highly preferable
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Problem identification and resolution skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines
