Responsible for implementing, assessing, and supervising all programs, budgets, sales, production, operations, and strategic planning. Provides guidance and assistance in promoting self-direction and comprehension for Tantone’s sheltered employment personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures alignment with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Department of Labor (DOL), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Responsible for meeting compliance with Missouri Department of Mental Health regulations and certification.
Meets and ensures safety guidelines.
Completes a prevailing wage survey as required by DOL.
Establishes and/or maintains relationships with other agencies.
Develops and monitors budgets, and monthly financials.
Monitors revenue and expenses.
Responsible for leading team and developing strategies to assist production and supervisory personnel.
Responds to emergencies and assists staff in crisis situations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Verifies job training is completed.
Handles corrective action and termination of employees in accordance with company polices.
Creates schedule and ensures all contracted coverage is fulfilled.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Business Administration, or equivalent manufacturing work experience.
Three-years of progressive management experience.
Experience with the use of computers in a professional atmosphere.
Preferred: Two-years DESE, OSHA and DOL experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
Must be able to obtain and maintain HIPAA and Confidentiality Agreements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a driver’s License.
Must pass a background check including criminal record.
Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test.
Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate the work of team members.
Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
Ability to exercise discretion regarding confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
18 years or older.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; this may be more with certain types of work assignments.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
