Job Description - Tantone Director

Description

Job Title: Tantone Director

Reports To: Executive Director

Summary

Responsible for implementing, assessing, and supervising all programs, budgets, sales, production, operations, and strategic planning. Provides guidance and assistance in promoting self-direction and comprehension for Tantone’s sheltered employment personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures alignment with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Department of Labor (DOL), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Responsible for meeting compliance with Missouri Department of Mental Health regulations and certification.
  • Meets and ensures safety guidelines.
  • Completes a prevailing wage survey as required by DOL.
  • Establishes and/or maintains relationships with other agencies.
  • Develops and monitors budgets, and monthly financials.
  • Monitors revenue and expenses.
  • Responsible for leading team and developing strategies to assist production and supervisory personnel.
  • Responds to emergencies and assists staff in crisis situations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Verifies job training is completed.
  • Handles corrective action and termination of employees in accordance with company polices.
  • Creates schedule and ensures all contracted coverage is fulfilled.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Business Administration, or equivalent manufacturing work experience.
  • Three-years of progressive management experience.
  • Experience with the use of computers in a professional atmosphere.
  • Preferred: Two-years DESE, OSHA and DOL experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain HIPAA and Confidentiality Agreements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a driver’s License.
  • Must pass a background check including criminal record.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test.
  • Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate the work of team members.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Ability to exercise discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; this may be more with certain types of work assignments.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One-year of progressive work experience in residential management.
  • Three years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with the use of computers in a business environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Blood Borne Pathogens, Medication Administration, Systemic Instruction Strategies, Abuse/Neglect, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Behavior training.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, able to obtain/maintain Class E license, and ability to obtain current auto insurance.
  • Must pass a background check including criminal record.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test.
  • Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate the work of team members.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Ability to exercise discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty and responsibility.
