Job Description - TAR & Planning Lead

Draslokva Mining Solutions is seeking a TAR & Planning Lead to join our growing Operations team.  This position will report directly to the Plant Manager in our Memphis, TN location.




Key Responsibilities


Planning Leader



  • Develop and implement effective maintenance planning strategies, schedules, and procedures.

  • Manage and lead a team of maintenance planners and schedulers.

  • Coordinate with production and operations teams to plan maintenance activities with minimal disruption.

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules.

  • Maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensure data accuracy.

  • Analyze maintenance data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of equipment failure, and improvement opportunities.


 


 TAR Leader



  • Turnaround Planning Support

    • Assist in developing the overall TAR scope, timelines, milestones, and criticalpath schedule.

    • Work with maintenance planners and discipline engineers to break down work packages into tasks, labor estimates, materials, and equipment requirements.



  • Scheduling & Coordination

    • Maintain and update the master turnaround schedule in project management tools (Primavera P6).

    • Coordinate resource leveling and resolve schedule conflicts among multiple work fronts.

    • Communicate schedule changes and progress updates to stakeholders.



  • Materials & Procurement

    • Track longlead items and critical spares; coordinate with procurement to ensure on-site delivery prior to start of shutdown.

    • Maintain bill of materials (BOM) accuracy within the CMMS or turnaroundspecific database.




 



  • Contractor Management

    • Facilitate contractor pre-qualification, scope review, and safety orientations.

    • Monitor contractor performance, manhour utilization, and compliance with site safety and quality standards.




 



  • Budget & Cost Control

    • Support turnaround budget development and track actual vs. budgeted costs (labor, materials, rentals).

    • Identify costsaving opportunities and report variances to Turnaround Manager.




 



  • Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure all TAR activities comply with corporate safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

    • Participate in preturnaround safety reviews, permittowork preparation, and incident investigations.




 



  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    • Generate daily/weekly turnaround progress reports and lessonslearned summaries.

    • Facilitate postturnaround debriefs to identify process improvements for future events.




 


Experience:


 



  • 3+ years’ experience in turnaround/project coordination, plant maintenance planning, or project administration—preferably in refining, petrochemical, power generation, or heavy industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or planning role.

  • Proficient in using CMMS (SAP PM) Prometheus and Primavera

  • Maintenance work management process 


 


Skills & Competencies:


 



  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; adept at managing complex schedules.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of liaising with engineers, operations, contractors, and senior leadership.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint reporting).

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail; able to interpret data and identify trends.
